10th and 11th treatments

I had my 10th treatment in February this year (2014), with the pico machine.  To be honest I didn't notice a huge amount of difference other than it was double the cost of the normal laser.  At $400 a pop its not cheep.  I had my 11th treatment yesterday (August 8th 2014) after 6 months.  I'm not in a rush, I realised a long time ago that this was going to be a super long process.
I went back to the old place in NYC which cost me $200 yesterday.  I really noticed this time, even though it was on full power, that the zaps are getting a lot less painful.  This I presume means that more of the ink has gone, which can only be a good thing, on some parts of the old tattoo it didn't even connect with the skin so that basically means its pretty much gone.  You can tell from just looking.  I forgot to take a snap before my last treatment but will post as soon as the redness has died down.

Ninth Treatment

Had my ninth treatment here in New York again in early December 2013.  Its been about 8 weeks since that treatment, I took this photo about a week ago (it actually looks a bit darker than this in real life, but could not get the camera to play ball):

I have now booked to go for another treatment on Thursday this week with a different practice.  This is a doctor that specialises only in tattoo removal in NY, so will post to let you know how it goes.  I believe he has the Picosure laser so, perhaps have a go with that one.  Its 2 years almost to the day that I started to have the tattoo removed.  fingers crossed by this time next year will all be gone.

Comparison

I know the camera has got the skin colours different, but gives an indication of fading and scaring.

Laser Tattoo removal 13th Post

So it's been about 11 weeks since my 7th treatment.  Here is a snap I took today.  Seems to have faded so much since the first one back in Feb 2012, although I still think there are a lot to go. I decided not to have another one until I am back in the Uk in June, this will be leaving about 4 months in between treatments.  I think this is worthwhile to try and let the skin heal, there is a darker tinge around the tattoo that I would like to give a chance to go back to normal colour, not sure if it will, but i'm in no rush so just holding on for the best result.  It takes a long time... think twice if your thinking of getting a tattoo!!!

Laser Tattoo Removal 12th Post

Hi, sorry for lack of posts, I have had another two treatments since my last posting so 7 in total, one additional in November and then again in February this year, and am leaving 10 weeks in between each treatment now.  It has been over a year since I have started having the treatments and still feel there is a quite a long way to go, at least 8 or 10 more treatments.  Getting quite good fading, but still prominent.  Living in the US at the moment and thinking about having an R20 session where they zap it 4 times in a row with a 20 min gap between each.  Apparently this technique gives better fading without any additional scarring.  Will try and book in the next few weeks as it has been about 8-9 weeks since my last treatment back in February.

This was taken in December about 3 weeks after my 6th treatment in November:

This was taken on the 13th February about a week after my 7th treatment:
